Ophiuchus is most frequently associated with the Greek mythical figure of Asclepius, the son of Apollo and the god of healing and medicine. Asclepius was renowned for his healing abilities, which he developed after observing a snake bringing healing herbs to another snake. This observation led him to learn the secrets of medicine and resurrection. His skills became so advanced that he could even bring the dead back to life, which alarmed Hades, the god of the underworld.
To maintain the balance between life and death, Zeus struck Asclepius down with a thunderbolt. However, in recognition of his contributions to healing, Zeus placed him among the stars as the constellation Ophiuchus. This act symbolizes the eternal struggle between life and death, as well as the pursuit of knowledge and healing.

Base metals are 925 silver and gold-filled beads. Minerals are as described.
All products are made to fit a wrist size of approximately 16 - 21 cm. Larger sizes can be custom made on request and are subject to material availability.

All of our products are made from naturally occurring minerals which are susceptible to the elements and to the effects of chemicals.
Color change can also occur to the minerals from prolonged exposure to sunlight.
